Description
Celebrate with your father or father figure in your life at the Harriton House Ice Cream Social! Sunday June 19th, 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
Event Details
Bring the whole family this Father's Day to the old-fashioned Ice Cream Social to celebrate the father or father figure in your life!
RESERVATIONS REQUIRED!
Harkening back to Harriton's early 20th century history as a dairy farm, we've planned a fun afternoon celebrating Dad with delicious ice cream.
From 1909 until almost 1930, Harriton was known as the Harriton Guernsey Dairy. This farm, which provided rich milk and cream to the neighborhood, was an active and important participant in a flourishing dairy industry in southeastern Pennsylvania. The growth and quality of Pennsylvania's modern dairy industry is directly related to food purity and safety concerns for milk at the turn of the 20th century, and the Harriton Guernsey Dairy was part of that evolution.
Tickets include "all you can eat" Golden Guernsey Ice Cream produced with milk and cream from cows who are direct descendants from the cows which were once a part of the Harriton herd, yard games, and other surprises. We won't know what flavors are available until closer to the event but chocolate and vanilla are guaranteed. Specialty flavors may include coffee, rocky road, strawberry, and butter pecan. There will also be sugar-free and no sugar added choices as well.
As always, FATHERS or your DESIGNATED FATHER FIGURE EAT FREE!
Reservations are required so we know how much ice cream we'll need! For more information email to: info@harritonhouseorg
The Ice Cream Social will be held rain or shine, the first floor of historic Harriton House is accessible as is the Education Room .
This event is presented by The Harriton Association for the benefit of historic Harriton House. Public programs and events are one of the many ways you can support this important landmark.
