Description

The Philadelphia Argentine Tango School was founded in 2008 to offer top-notch instruction in Argentine tango to beginners through professional dancers in Philadelphia. In addition to group and private lessons, the Philadelphia Argentine Tango School offers weekly practicas, monthly milongas and occasional larger events. We have hosted five major tango festivals, and brought three major tango bands from Argentina to Philadelphia: Otros Aires (2009) and Tanghetto (2010) and the Alejandro Ziegler Quartet (2012 and 2013). We have also organized four Tango Tours to Buenos Aires. The school is directed by Meredith Klein, who has been dancing tango for 16 years and teaching tango full-time since 2006. Meredith is pleased to be able to bring a steady stream of internationally-recognized tango talent into Philadelphia each year, starting with Andres Amarilla, her dance partner, who spends 6 months of the year in Philadelphia.
