Join us for a fun and educational afternoon designing and building your own rocket car!
The event will begin with a quick introduction to the museum, our theme, and the collection. Following the tour, we will jump right into the design and construction of a compressed air powered soda bottle rocket car. Paint and other decorative material will be provided along with aerodynamic aids to make your car as fast as possible. Racing will be conducted on a 65-foot drag strip race track with electronic scoring to the thousandth of a second. Modifications can be built and tested on the track and in our scale model wind tunnel for the ultimate experience. Each race car will be a take-home keepsake.
