We are thrilled to announce this years Annual River Horse Oktoberfest!
Saturday, September 24th from 6 - 10PM
We've got a lot of great things planned for this year!
We are brewing an exclusive German beer for this event, as well as the classic River Horse Fall Favorites like Hipp-O-Lantern Pumpkin Ale!
This year will also feature a live band performing your favorite tunes to dance and sing along to!
ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:
BRAT - TOSS COMPETITION
Who will walk away the top-tosser? Enter our Beer Garden to see the best (and wurst) displays of sausage-y sportsmanship in all of New Jersey.
STEIN HOLDING CONTEST
Put those beer muscles to the test and don't spill a drop! The annual stein-hold contest will pit the fiercest competitors against one another with full 24oz steins held as long as you can. Not for lightweights.
SELFIE COMPETITION
May the best mug win! Gather your friends and post a group-shot using our selfie station. Use the hashtags: #RHOktoberfest and #Hippospotting - make sure to tag us as well! in order to be entered for a chance to win some coupons for your next visit!
PRETZEL STACKING CONTEST
We'll be using the salty and delicious snack to build something that would rival the Nueschwanstein Castle. Who can build the tallest stack of this favorite German treat?
MR. & MRS. OKTOBERFEST CONTEST
Dress up in your best dirndl or lederhosen to be chosen as Mr. or Mrs. Oktoberfest. We'll choose the winner by popular applause.
Ticket Info:
- General Admission: $20 gets you a ticket, and an Oktoberfest mug.
- T-Shirt Upgrade: Our $45 package includes your ticket, an Oktoberfest mug, AND a River Horse Oktoberfest T-Shirt!
**Upgraded tickets must be ordered by Sept. 1st**
Only a limited number of Oktoberfest T-Shirts will be available to purchase at the event, so make sure to pre-order yours with ticket purchase by 9/1 to secure yours!
COSTUMES AND TRADITIONAL GERMAN ATTIRE ARE HIGHLY ENCOURAGED!
River Horse swag and beer-to-go will be available in our gift shop all night long. Outside alcohol is PROHIBITED.
You must buy a ticket in advance. Must be 21+. Tickets are non-refundable, and you must bring proof of purchase and proper age verification to the event.
PARKING: River Horse has on-premise parking, but our lot does tend to fill up quickly. Parking along Graphics Drive is an additional option. Utilizing Uber/Lyft or other local taxi services is encouraged.

PLEASE NOTE: Our Tasting Room will be open for regular business from 2-4PM on the day of the event. We will close for regular business after 4PM in order to prepare our space for Oktoberfest. Doors will re-open for guests at 6PM. While packaged goods will be available for purchase during the event, we will not be able to fill growlers for take-home that evening. Thank you for understanding!
