he Southern end of Philadelphia makes up a large part of the city. Known for its diversity, South Philly is home to a large variety of traditional restaurants and shops. Getting there, like almost anywhere in Philadelphia, is easy thanks to the accessible subway and bus system. For example, a trip to North Philly is only a quick ride away. South Philly is also known for the best cheese steaks, but if you want to know where to go, most locals will fight over which place to suggest. Both Pat’s and Geno’s Steaks are popular places in the heart of South Philly, but don’t be afraid to end the debate and compare them for yourself. As for nightlife, The Tap Room, located on Mifflin Street, is a well-known warm and comfortable pub that always sports attractive entertainment. There are a lot of different things to do in South Philly. From historical tours, to nationally acclaimed sports teams, and relaxing landscapes, South Philly has it all.
