Featuring legendary musicians Leigh Howard Stevens, Stefon Harris, Warren Wolf, Jon Singer, Tony Miceli, and the group Escape 10 Duo with sounds of the marimba, xylophone, and vibraphone. Travel to the 1920s for red-light-district ragtime and work your way back to contemporary jazz. Plus, a talk by Lisa Minardi, assistant curator at Winterthur Museum, on the Pennsylvania German furniture in the Barnes collection. Minardi discusses connections between the furniture and Fraktur, a Pennsylvania German style of illuminated manuscript folk art that is the subject of her most recent book and three exhibitions at the Free Library of Philadelphia, Winterthur, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
